Shea Foldvary, President and CEO

Shea Foldvary is the President and CEO of the United Way of Fort Smith Area. A Fort Smith native, he graduated from Southside High School and later attended the University of Central Arkansas. Shea began his professional career in his hometown with Weldon, Williams and Lick, Inc., where he worked in Human Resources. During his tenure, he led multiple internal and external fundraising initiatives in support of the United Way of Fort Smith Area and actively engaged with the community through the Fort Smith Public Schools’ Partners in Education Program. In recognition of his commitment and impact, Shea was named the 2015 United Way Campaign Coordinator of the Year.

 

Prior to joining United Way, Shea served as a Practice Manager for Mercy Fort Smith, overseeing day-to-day operations for medical clinics across the region. He joined the United Way of Fort Smith Area in 2018 as the Resource Development Director, where he was responsible for developing and executing annual workplace campaigns, strengthening donor engagement, and identifying and cultivating new donor relationships. His dedication to service and passion for improving the lives of individuals in the community led to his appointment as President and CEO in 2022.

 

Shea is actively involved in regional leadership and community development. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce, the Western Arkansas Planning and Development District (WAPDD), and River Valley PRIME. He is also the current Board Chair for both the United Ways of Arkansas Association and the FTSM Community Health Council. Additionally, he is a graduate of Leadership Fort Smith (Class of 2022) and Leadership Crawford County (Class of 2020).

 

Above all, Shea is most proud of his family. He and his wife, Kristi, reside in Fort Smith with their two sons, Hudson and Rhett.
