63 – Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund
To provide supplemental financial assistance to those single parents who are pursuing a post secondary course
of instruction that will improve their income-earning potential.
1 – 6 Volunteers 8:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Supplies can be picked up from Penni Burns at the Day of Caring breakfast in Booneville. – Information cards about the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund to be delivered to area high schools, trade schools, colleges and universities.
SPECIAL NEEDS: Transportation to get to each campus.

64 – Boy Scouts of America, Westark Area Council
3 – 10 Volunteers 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
38 Keenan Lake Road – Clean up in and around campsites and other general clean up at the Rogers Scout Reservation.
SPECIAL NEEDS: Work gloves, rakes, closed toed shoes.

This project is full no longer accepting volunteers. 65 – Boys & Girls Club of South Logan County
8 – 10 Volunteers 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Hwy 10 East, Soccer Field Complex – Level the fields, work on goals, field striping, plant seedlings (if available). Will
reschedule in case of inclement weather.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Handling of typical garden type tools.
SPECIAL NEEDS: Work clothing, gloves, boots, hats, etc.

15 – 40 Volunteers 8:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
460 Cahinnio Road – Brush clearing, painting, trail maintenance, building washing.
SPECIAL NEEDS: Work gloves, eye protection, sun screen, closed toed shoes, chain saw.

 

For breakfast there are 2 options, the Riverfront Amphitheater in Fort Smith, and Jeral L. Hampton Meeting Place in Booneville.
