“Providing regional alcohol and drug services”

Since 1966, Harbor House has provided substance abuse treatment services for people suffering drug or alcohol abuse. Treatment environments include residential, outpatient, detoxification, prevention and awareness.

Each person’s treatment plan is individualized, as each case of alcohol or drug abuse is different. Types of treatment include:
• Residential alcohol/drug program – During this time, clients learn a sober lifestyle in a “substance free” environment.
• Out patient continued care program – Upon completion of the residential program, the client can choose to enter a six-week continued care program.
• Out patient alcohol/drug program – This program is designed for those whose physical and emotional status allows them to function in their usual environment.
• Chemical free-living center – Once a client has completed a residential program, he can move onto on the centers. It provides a home-like atmosphere and gives the residents an opportunity to apply the principles learned in residential treatment.
Harbor House has helped many people through the Prevention resource Center that provides training, education and a Clearinghouse of information to help combat substance abuse in the community.

The Family Awareness Program assists families and friends of the chemically dependent in the awareness of the disease and positive ways of dealing with it.
Problem Gambling? Out patient services are available. Call for more information.
