Since 1979, the Clearinghouse has worked with area churches, civic groups and
community agencies to assist working families in crisis, the elderly and the disabled. Our
programs are designed to help families in emergency situations, elderly or disabled
individuals facing unexpected expenses and children in need. Clearinghouse programs
specifically target hunger, financial concerns, and a diverse group of children’s issues.
Each year, we reach out to more than 6,000 families representing more than 25,000
individuals. Many of these are children under 16 years of age. The “Meals For Kids”
program provides take-home for the weekend each Friday to more than 2,500 children in
our service area.
The Community Services Clearinghouse provides many services to area families:

* Children’s fund/ meeting a variety of needs
* Information and Referral
* Job Search Assistance
* Holiday Sponsorship programs
